Glaziers...any on here? Advice needed!
Basically had to break a glass panel in the door panel, cos like a cunt I locked myself out. Glass is about 3 ft by 2 ft and been quoted £132 to be replaced. Just wondered roughly what I should be looking to pay, as think its a bit excessive? If not how hard is it to do yourself? Obviously it ain't advisable to try wiping my knob on it! Ta in advance

It doesn't sound too expensive to me considering it's a double visit (initially to measure and then to fix) job.You could have a ring around and possibly save yourself a score.
I'd imagine it's double glazed and I personally wouldnt sod around attempting to do the job myself.
The measurements need to be spot on.Toughened glass is easily broken when nailing/glueing beading it can be a pain to find a match to existing.
I'd bite the bullet and let a reputable firm replace it.

Tend to be very slippery, but if climate change has it's way, will be much smaller in future.

Re: Glaziers...any on here? Advice needed!
Have you tried those guys who replace individual panes due to them being 'steamed up' (I'm assuming door is double glazed?).

If it's not, you just remove the beading, remove the old glass, take measurements and a piece of the glass to a glaziers, and they will cut you a new piece to install with putty / beading.
